And to help them do so, Google has come out ahead of itself by creating a very useful application for creditors and bankers. This application name is Device Lock Controller.

Verizon in the U.S., for instance, gives you a chance to set up a payment arrangement before going to collections and shutting off your network access, But Samsung India puts restrictions on that smartphone device slowly as it lies in giving the installation.
And Google wants to make it Moreeasier for banks or other credit providers to implement the latter method of debt collection.

Users will be able to use very low or limited functions on their smartphones. These include incoming calls, emergency calls, select outgoing calls, settings, and backup and restore service. With the device locked

So according to Google, they have developed this application partnership with a Kenyan carrier, Safaricom. A Google spokesperson said to XDA that they created this application to help Safaricom. with their new “Lipa Mdogo Mdogo” financing plan which lets customers get an Android Go device with monthly financing.

Device Lock Controller enables device management for credit providers. Your creditor or bank can remotely restrict access to your device if you don’t make payments. If your device is restricted, basic functionality, such as emergency calling and access to settings, will still be available.
